Please Read: A personal appeal from site operator Tony Mnemonic

I share the same vision as Jimmy Wales over at Wikipedia. Ads don't belong on Nismokc. It's pure and doesn't need to be tainted with stupid blinky ads at the top and bottom of every page. So this is basically me asking to get reimbursed for putting up site fees back in August. If 20 people threw me $5-10, that would be great. If I get anything over that, it will just go towards 2012 fees. Just hit that donate button at the top of this page or the main index if you have a Paypal account. If you don't have Paypal, I'll be at most of the Monthly Meets (http://nismokc.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4713) for 2012, just come find me. I'm not sure if you noticed, but we didn't have these fees last year because the Madness Garage Drift events paid for it (I obviously don't run those anymore).

2012 should be an exciting year for Nismokc-ers. There are lots of sweet new builds, and kirk and I will be hosting a couple of cookouts. Just like old times. This year I will have a ton more time on my hands, so I will be updating the frontpage (I'll need some suggestions about what you guys want to see) and I'm sure the index will be getting another redesign. Heck, I might even get around to getting v3.0 T-shirts made to pay for fees next year! Of course none of this will happen if nobody donates ;)

As always, I'm open to any suggestions about the site regarding problems, operation, and events. Just send me a pm.

P.S. If all active members contributed a couple of bucks, I would split a server with you guys and site fees would only be $20/year!

Just a suggestion, I think it would help if you could give us a target amount to shoot for. Again Just a suggestion. I think it would give everyone an awareness of how much it actually cost to run this site.

I costs about $200/year for hosting space and domain registration. I've been reimbursed ~$115 since last August (when site fees are due). Site fees are due again in about 3.5 months...
